It was the perfect day for a walk down to the pond. The fields of green nodded in
the sunshine, and the path leading down to the water begged to be explored.“I
told him that there are all these things that I feel like I need to learn…”
I looked down into her stunning blue eyes, as she gazed off into the
distance. She was recounting a conversation she had had with
her boyfriend… She listed several really important things
and then paused, “But you know what he said?” She
stopped short and looked at me. “He said, ‘I fell
in love with YOU. You don’t need to grow or
accomplish more to change how I feel about
you.’”
We both just stood there in the silence,
and let the words sink in.
Just as she was. He loved her. No extra
requirements, no perfection.
Just complete acceptance and adora-
tion.
She looked at me and shook her head.
“I’m blown away.”

that away.
Most likely, God will bring a man into your
life someday. All those dreams and hopes will
suddenly be reality, and you will be amazed
