The Virtual Elite Anniversary Issue | Page 3

2 016 was quite a year! So much gained and learned. What started out as a conversation with another virtual assistant, turned into a magazine and a new mission.

The year started off rocky, with my premier issue date being pushed back a month. The challenges that came with getting the magazine off the wire, was the push and determination to meet my first milestone.

The issues that followed brought about new ideas, new challenges, new connections, and new milestones. I covered my first interview with Kina Brown for the Summer issue. I introduced her milestone to the VA world, and in other cover story interviews, I got to know some great VAs and their clients. Our issue on the client's point of view was one of our most received and we hope to do one again this year.

In this issue, we decided to revisit some of our best received articles. We wanted to hear from our readers, to see what they liked, and how we could recapture it. We sought to present to you the "Best Of" for our first anniversary issue. This has been a great year, and we're looking forward to sharing more with our readers.

Some other milestones, is our expansion into including our brown sisters, and expanding the spotlight to get their point of view. Being a virtual assistant does not have as many glass ceilings as corporate and blue collar America, but they do exist, and we sought as a family to begin addressing those issues and mindsets.

2017 is way underway, and we are embarking on the second quarter of the year already! If you haven't checked off some things from yuor to-do goal list, it's not over. Encourage yourself daily by showcasing all of your milestones. They do not have to be grand, but they do have to be meaningful. Whether it is a milestone in your business or personal growth, celebrate it! What success is to you is not always success defined for someone else. Take charge of your own business and your own life. That's one of the reasons you became a VA, right?

I hope you enjoy this issue, and as you go down memory lane, go back and re-check your milestone celebration list. Re-read and don't hesitate to ask questions. We're here to help you in building your VA biz your way and celebrate it on your own terms. Make your point of view count.
