The Vintage Eye Issue 4 | Page 2

Dear Readers,

I love this time of year. The leaves turning their wonderful shades of red and gold, even the days shortening and the nights drawing doesn't seem to take the warmth out of many of the vintage festivals that are held each year at this time. It never takes the sparkle out of Bexi Owen who again, joins me in this issue and she always warms our hearts with her special magical articles.

Last weekend saw the bi-annual return of The Hemsby Rock and Roll weekend in Norfolk and next month sees the return of the much loved and inspired Rhythm Riot at Camber in West Sussex. These events never cease to amaze me. The sheer energy which comes with not only setting up and organising one of these glittering four day events, but the electric atmosphere that comes with the eager crowd. You are stared at for not dressing accordingly. Petticoats and drapes are a must, and although the cold wind blasts through these little seaside towns, there are still girls in peep toe sandals and Summer frocks.

This month's magazine reflects the warmth of Summer which continues relentlessly through the colder months in the vintage world. I look at my diary and it is still packed every week of fairs, markets, events and festivals in the retro and nostalgic world. I love this life for it's continuity and reluctance to take a day off... Warm wishes and happy vintage,

The Editor

I hope you enjoy this month's magazine. It has, as always been a thrill to put together, and I would like to thank, as always, the people and the events which make my life working on this magazine, films and newsletters each week so full of wonderful moments.

With best wishes

The Editor.
