CRAZY MAN CRAZY!
When I look for an idea or a theme for an issue, I like to think about what's current. At this time of year, it's all about dance and rolls and rolls of boogie woogie, lyndy hop abd Jazz. The swing clubs in London and the north become alive in the autumn with the energetic jungle like rhythms and beats of high spirited young things dancing like it's the 1920's all over again.
The vibrancy of this movement and in particular, events from Electroswing at the seriously cool Looking Glass cocktail club in Hackney Road, Shoreditch, London have been gathering pace within the young set and much of London's jetset are shimming away to the Al Bowlys and Duke Ellingtons of this world and the next. Sipping Manhattan cocktails until dawn swinging away to cool jazz and Ella Fitzgerald sounds like my cup of tea!
We hope, as always, you enjoy this issue where you will find some crazy sounds, vintage pazzazz and lots of cool ragtime and retro features to lush over!
See you at the party!
Chin chin!
