So many wonderful memories
of 2013 will be fondly tucked away
as we ready for the new Year and
what lies ahead . . . and what good
memories they are! Speaking of
“tucked away” . . . time to remove
those trees, ornaments and other

await your arrival!
CWGA had a year filled with
terrific tournaments, luncheons,
fun play days and, more importantly, close and lasting friendships. The Pro Shop went over
and above expectations by assisting us with our tournaments and
providing a friendly and helpful environment for our guests
throughout the year. Thanks to
Chris Bensel and his staff.
A new board is preparing for
another productive and enjoyable
year. All committee chairs have
been filled. Thanks, ladies, for
stepping up. The first board meeting will be held Tuesday, January
7, 2014 at 9 am.
The 2014 CWGA schedule has
been posted, so check the Charbonneau Golf Club website for

Merger Planning Update
By Denny Atkin & Steve Perry
Work continues on a possible
merger of the Charbonneau Golf
Club into the Charbonneau Country Club. Four hard-working volunteers from each club are meeting regularly as they work their
way through all the details necessary to finalize a plan that would
best serve all the residents of our
community.
We have heard from several
members of the community expressing a desire to be kept up-todate on this effort, with a plea for
more specifics. There is a myriad
of legal elements and both groups
are working diligently to protect
our community’s assets and the
lifestyle and ambiance we all
love here in Charbonneau. Once
a plan is finalized, it will be presented to CGC shareholders - and
then all homeowners - in detail,
so that both groups will have an
opportunity to vote on it.
Accomplishing this while
working with attorneys is taking
longer than any of us could have
anticipated.
