life story of early childhood, marriage, widowhood, re-marriage
and old age through her diary.
This is a novel that introduces us
to the changes, not only in Daisy’s life, but also the changes that

I enjoyed this book by listening to
it on tape. Shields, who has been
compared to Margaret Atwood
and Alice Munro, has a way with
her writing to both amuse and pull
at your heart strings as you look
through her family album.
