The Niners Show and Banquet

Niners Golf
JAne teUnon
our “roaring through the
‘20s” show and banquet was such
fun. everyone arrived early to
celebrate our great year of golf
and to admire and show off our
beautiful 1920s outfits! We want
to thank, again, Bobbi Christiansen and Sheila Barton and
their committee for their work to
make our show such a success.
JoAnna Sawyer choreographed
every step for the niners who
danced to “All that Jazz.” we
thank her for her hours and hours
of practice, support and patience!
Linda Landre and Vern Wise
took photos for us, and the pictures in this article were taken by
Kathy Miller, Cindy Garrison
and JoAnna Sawyer - thank you
all. Lee Zinsli and JoAnna sawyer put together and recorded our
1920s music and Virginia Horler made sure the music played
perfectly for our performances.
thanks to Rosemary Ricken and
Myrna Tienken for the slides of
the 1920s, and to Jan Holley, our
narrator. the dining room tables
were decorated with black top
hats, wine secured in a brown paper bag and sparking necklaces in
silver and gold for every niner.
After our gourmet chicken cordon
bleu dinner, Ann Van Domelen
was asked to come up on stage to
accept the trophy for the niner’s
Most Improved player - Con-
gratulations, Ann!! personally, I
would like to thank the wonderful
editor of The Villager, Cindy garrison, for her supportive help and
expertise.
