#1 Contender’s Match: Sami Zayn Vs

Tyler Breeze –

Match Rating ****

Before the match we get two really awesome video packages to not only put over both guys, but the importance of this match. The match had good pacing throughout, firstly we start off slow as both guys try to feel each other out but as the matches progresses, starting from an insane split-legged moonsault onto the floor outside, the match really went up a few notches to provide some really great near falls from both men. With Zayn playing the underdog, both his selling ability combined with Breeze’s striking (Particularly his superkick & spinning heel kick) played out as both really worked well with each other. The finish provided some slight heel tactics from Tyler Breeze, which not only gets Zayn looking strong, but provides Tyler Breeze with a much needed win.

Alexander Rusev Vs Mojo Rawley –

Match Ratings N/A

This was basically a squash match that didn’t even last 30 seconds so it’s unfair to really give this rating. Lana, along with Alexander Rusev came out to cut a promo to put over his dominance by comparing it to Russia before Mojo interrupted leading to an impromptu match-up. Even though Rusev was in complete Russian attire, he clearly has a Bulgarian tattoo on his right arm so I am slightly confused by that.

Since Paige graduated from NXT and moved up to the main roster, the NXT women’s title was declared vacant which led us to an 8-Women title tournament consisting of both NXT & WWE divas. While women’s wrestling, particularly in terms of WWE, is often seen as the filler or as a well deserved bathroom break, whatever you do, make sure you go out of your way to see this match as not only is this the best women’s match I have seen in the past 12 months, it is also a contender for one of the best women’s matches I have ever seen in all of professional wrestling!

With both Ric Flair and Bret “The Hitman& Hart in

their respective families corners, this truly was a

human chess spectacle of two women who matched

each other move for move, hold for hold and counter

for counter for well over 15 minutes. The match

structure consists mostly of matt-based chain wrestling

with Charlotte more than capable of holding her own to

provide great pacing with no mistakes that would belong

on any PPV show! As the match progresses, the classic

Figure Four & Sharpshooter submissions appear with some
