Cross Country
Despite the hot, muggy
weather, AHS Cross Country
had three girls and three boys
finished in top 15 of their
races at the Shelby County
Jamboree on August 23.
Girls:
Celine Rone-2nd; Amanda
Leatherwood- 6th; Leanne
May-12th
Boys:
Sena Murray-1st; Chris
Walls and Chandler Jenkins
both were in the top 15
Next meet: Saturday
(8/30), Twilight Meet at
Mike Rose Soccer Complex.
Race times:
Girls JV 6:30 p.m.
Boys JV 7:20 p.m.
Girls Varsity 8:00 p.m.
Boys Varsity 8:40 p.m.
After the high school
races, there will be two
college races. Former AHS
2014 Varsity AHS Football Team
runners Noah Freeman
(Central Arkansas) and Nick
Pinarski (CBU) will be
running.
Soccer
A pair of players on the
AHS Lady Tigers Soccer
team scored hat tricks the
week of August 17:
Sophomore Taylor Peterman
in a 9-0 rout of Brighton and
Senior Kylie Huey netted all
three goals in a 3-1 victory
over St. Agnes.
Lady Tigers soccer was 20-1 over the Baylor (Chatt.)
