Meet Your Lakeland
Candidates
By Terry Bondurant, Editorial
Director
With the Tennessee state and
Federal Elections in November,
Lakeland residents will also have
several municipal elections on the
ballot, including the mayor,
commissioners, and school board
representatives.
Lakeland residents will be voting
for two commissioners and three
school
board
members.
Commissioners and school board
members do not hold specific
positions, but the top candidates with
the most votes will be elected to serve
four-year terms.
At The View 38002, we believe
that educating the public on the
election and candidates helps
individuals make informed decisions.
While there certainly are many issues
that are not touched upon in these
questions, we encourage our readers
to contact the candidates for more
information on their platforms and
campaigns.

Crucible
Arlington Community Theatre
(ACT), will present the American
classic, The Crucible, by Arthur
Miller Oct. 12-14 and 19-21.
Drawing on the culture of fear
that surrounded the villagers of
Salem, Massachusetts in 1692,
The Crucible explores the effects
of paranoia and the destruction of
innocence caused by the rabid
accusations of witchcraft spurned
by Mistress Abigail Williams.
Adding to the ambiance, this
unique interpretation of an
American tale of fear, suspicion,
and religious extremism will be
presented at the Holy Innocents
Cemetery,
an
1880’s
Episcopalian
Church
and
cemetery in Arlington.
