LEAD Arlington Places Focus on Students in First
Meeting
Special to THE VIEW 38002
Three times a year, leaders
from the business community,
town of Arlington and Arlington
Community
Schools
come
together for LEAD Arlington. It’s
a time to discuss the latest
happenings
in
Arlington’s
economic development and
government, as well as in the four
schools that make up ACS.
And this year, there’s a new
addition to the group: Arlington
High students. Students from
Arlington High’s Collegiate
Academy now attend the LEAD
Arlington sessions to network
with local community leaders and
learn about what it takes to work
in their industries.
“It’s a great chance for them to
ask questions, get information
about job qualifications and
hopefully gauge their interests by
learning
from
skilled
professionals,” said ACS Director

also had to speak in front of the
group to discuss what they
learned from the business
professionals.
“We want to push these
students outside their comfort
