Centered around a 10-acre lake, this site will host both commercial and residen- tial purposes to give homeowners easy access to shopping, business services, and recreation. The mixed-use develop- ment features over 160 acres of upscale architecture with walkable convenience. So far, there are plans for offices, two hotels, retail and entertainment, restau- rants and cafes, luxury apartments, and custom-built single-family homes. These areas will be separated into five districts: inline retail, Main Street, office, hotel, and residential. Heading the development of The Lake District is Gilad Development, Inc. Ye- huda Netanel, the owner and found- er, and Maggie Gallagher, Director of Development, have worked hard to bring this vision to life along with their team of local attorneys, builders, and realtors. LRK is providing the Mas- ter Plan that gives construction teams the community standards to follow for a cohesive look throughout the community. LRK is a national archi- tectural firm based in Memphis. LRK is creating the architectural guidelines for the entire project. Residents will be able to enjoy Phase 1 just in time for the holidays of 2020, providing new homes and shopping experiences to enjoy during the festive season. At the completion of phase I, you can expect to see: • 132,000 square feet of inline retail and restaurant space • 2 hotel sites • 109 townhouses • 15 pad sites The neighborhood and retail opportu- nities offered at The Lake District will also be surrounded in the nature encounters provided by the landscaping. The de- velopers have already started working with a landscaper to begin a nursery to grow the trees that will be utilized in the community. Being able to walk around the lake and through the community will be an experience in itself. So far in the lineup of spaces, Phase 1 consists of The Stock Market Grocery, Hollywood Feed, Brick House Gym, Fire- house Subs, Elite Total Health walk-in clinic, Germantown Village Wine and Liquor, Gloss Nail Bar, Gould’s Salon and Spa, Osaka Japanese Cuisine, a nine- screen Malco Theatre, and a Starbucks. There is still space available for businesses to join in on the opportunity to be a part of The Lake District. Top companies in shopping and lifestyle experiences are encouraged to take advantage of what this community brings to the area. Leasing is on the hunt for the best in restaurants, entertainment, and health and wellness brands. “If you want to remain relevant in your business and how you grow and expand your business, you need to be a part of what’s relevant today, and The Lake Dis- trict is providing that environment, that platform for you and for your business to expand,” says Maggie Gallagher. Sometime in 2022, Phase 2 should open to expand The Lake District even further. This second aspect of the project will focus on the Main Street district. It will expand the property to include: • 176,000 square feet for retail and res- taurants • 171 single-family homes • 396 apartments above retail space • 168 age-restricted apartments • 75,000 square feet of office space • A public space for live music and com- munity events Townhomes were originally planned for development during Phase 2 but were moved up to Phase 1 of the project due to growing interest in the residential space.
