T
he Arlington Chamber
strives to maintain a sound
business climate, which is
receptive to the needs of business,
industry, and our community.
Besides attracting new businesses
to our area, the Chamber seeks to
strengthen and support existing
businesses with resources and
connections to help these busi-
nesses be successful.
Th is year, the Chamber crossed
the milestone of 300 businesses in
our membership, and with new
business continually moving into
our area, our membership will,
no doubt, continue to grow! Our
business community is varied...

manufacturers all have a vested
interest in the growth of Arling-
ton. Th ey share similar goals, and
they share benefi ts from each
other’s successes. Th ey encour-
age and learn from each other,
and they are friends.
Th e diversity of our business
community is one of Arlington’s
strengths. And, for a small town,
we have a global reach that is
enviable. With our location at
the crossroads of I-40 and SR-
385/I-269, several companies
take advantage of that unique
transportation feature for their
success. Medical device manu-
facturers, food distribution com-
panies, transporters and export-
ers all call Arlington home – and
their goods and services which
originate here, cross our nation
and circle the globe.

As important, Arlington Com-
munity Schools is committed to
preparing our students for this
competitive and global work-
place. With programs designed
to give our children the tools they
need to exceed in any post-sec-
ondary university, specialty, or
trade school – we can be proud
that they have unlimited oppor-
tunity. However, we hope several
of them will stay or return to their
hometown to join our impressive
workforce! Because of this, the
Arlington Chamber is committed
to workforce development initia-
tives that will assist with training
of our students for the next level
of education and employment and
to recruitment eff orts that will
bring high-quality employees to
our area. Over the past several
years, the Arlington Chamber has
committed funds and resources

A Taste of Arlington takes place
in the spring of each year (this
year’s date is Sunday, April
5), the Arlington 5K occurs in
early September (set for Satur-
day, September 12, 2020), and
the Arlington BBQ FallFest is
scheduled for Friday/Saturday,
October 16-17 (the Chamber will
once again host a tent on Friday,
October 16).
