Class (Two-day class)
Wednesday, March 11th

Participants will learn new
driving strategies, about the
effects of aging on driving,
how to reduce the chance of
having a collision, and much
more. The classes cost $15 for
AARP Members, $20 for nonmembers. Upon completion,

Schools would like to bring
awareness to the trend of
obesity by hosting a
community health fair on
Thursday, April 2, 2015
from 5:30 pm. – 8:30
p.m. This event will be held
at Arlington High School in
the rotunda and the main
gym. Its goals are
to increase health awareness
and disease prevention by
providing health screenings,
educational information; to
increase awareness of local,
state, and national health
services and resources; and
to motivate participants to
make positive health
behavior changes.
According to the Centers
for Disease Control and
Prevention, regular physical
activity:

Helps reduce the risk of
developing obesity and
chronic diseases, such

Silent Auction to
Benefit Local Historical
Sites
The Arlington Chapter of
the Association for the
Preservation of Tennessee
Antiquities (APTA) will be
conducting the silent auction
at the Arlington Chamber of
Commerce’s “A Taste of
Arlington” on April 12.
Proceeds of the auction will
help the Arlington Chapter
with its efforts to preserve
and promote Arlington’s
history through five historic
sites maintained by the
Chapter and through
community activities and
