Metro 12 Nike Elite on a hot streak
The Memphis Metro
12U Nike Elite “Team
Tsunami” is living up to its
nickname, rolling into this
weekend’s Elvis Hit &
Roll tournament. Three
weeks ago they won the
Silver Bracket Championship at the Memphis MLK
Tournament, going 5-1 on
the weekend, only losing to
the eventual Gold Bracket
Champion. Last weekend,
they went one better, winning the Hot Springs Presidents’ Day Tournament.
Their 6-0 record over two
days included victories
over the #2, #3, and #4
seeded teams, with two of
those victories in thrilling,
come-from-behind, threeset matches. The team’s

at 11-1.
