Students brought artifacts highlighting their cultures, and they were displayed for all to see. Everyone has enjoyed learning about the students’ lives and exploring different cultures. Mrs. Cockroft, the ESL teacher, felt this would be a good way to showcase the diversity of the school while making the students feel special. The display continued through the month of February. AES Says “Thanks!” By Meredith Bertling Arlington Elementary School would like to recognize Kalee McBride for volunteering to monitor the children during breakfast each and every morning. Kalee is consistently ready and willing to contribute her time and energy to helping children start their morning off on the right foot. During breakfast, she helps them open their milk, throw away their trash, but more importantly she is a familiar smiling face the students look forward to seeing each day. Here at AES we feel privileged to have Mrs. McBride in our school each morning, and we want to thank her for her time, energy, and generosity. We certainly appreciate her taking time out of her busy life to help with our students.
