Smart Boards
With the money raised at
this year’s Boosterthon, PTA
was able to purchase six
more smart boards for LES
teachers. Fifth grade students
demonstrate the Smart
Board’s capabilities (bottom).
There are only six classrooms that lack a smart
board. PTA hopes to raise the
funds to purchase these last
remaining boards at the
annual LES auction on April
17th.
Lakeland Prep Community Input Meeting
The Community Input
Meeting for Lakeland Prep
was held on January 15th at
LES. This meeting helped to
ensure that the needs of all
students are met, preparing
them for college, career and
beyond through input from
parents, students, teachers,
administrators, business
owners and community
members. All Lakeland
residents had the opportunity
to share ideas and offer suggestions. Topics included
instruction, AP & Honor
Classes, staffing, extracurricular activities, facilities,
and athletics.
