Breast Cancer Awareness Month

In
support
of
National Breast Cancer
Awareness month, the
members of Gray’s Creek
M.B. Church honored all
cancer survivors and
reflected on the life of
those who succumb to
cancer.
The church has 6
cancer survivors that were
honored with a beautiful
plant along with a cake
and ice cream celebration
after service.
The
survivors
are
Kym
Williams,
Fibrocarcinoma, 34 years,
Bobbie Murrell, Thyroid
Cancer, 16 years, Ann
Patterson, Breast Cancer,
5 years, Sandra Mays,
Breast Cancer, 4.5 years,
Sheila Mathis, Breast
Cancer, 4.5 years and
Doris McCray, a recent

survivor
of
Uterine
Cancer.
As a memoriam to
family and friends that
lost their battle to cancer,
the church members
offered a moment of
silence and prayer then
released 40 pink & white
balloons
outside
immediately after service.
This truly was a special
occasion for all involved.
Members
of
the
congregation
also
participated
in
the
American Cancer Society
MAKING
STRIDES
Against Breast Cancer
Walk in Memphis, TN.
“Team Creek” had
over 100 team members
walking in the breast
cancer walk fundraising
event and raised over
$1,000 .
