Upon reflecting on
2013, I’d like to take the
time to thank our town
employees for the great
job they’ve done. As you
can see, we have many
projects going on that will
greatly benefit the future
of our town. We are
expanding Airline Road
as we speak, Milton Wilson middle will be complete in December, and
we just finished a major
sewer improvement that
will be beneficial to our
growth. Our parks are
constantly
improving
with the addition of sprinkler systems, lights, and
the hiring of a Parks &
Recreation Director, Kevin Carter, who will start
January 2. The events
around town continue to
bring our community
closer together and are a
draw for people from all
over. We had our very
first fireworks show this
year for the July 4th celebration, and we look forward to this event becoming a permanent fixture
for Arlington just like
Arlington in April, the
Christmas parade, the
