Keep Tennessee Beautiful Ready . Set . Grow ! 5K
Saturday , April 8 , at The Delta Blues Winery , 6585 Stewart Road in Lakeland , Tennessee . The 5K race will begin at 10:00 am on Saturday , April 8 . All ages are welcome . Entry fee is $ 25 prior to April 8 ($ 35 after this date ). All registrants will receive the following the day of the race : t-shirt , water bottle , tote bag , etc . Ready . Set . Grow ! is a 5K event that will help to raise awareness about Keep Tennessee Beautiful , and its efforts to educate and rally Tennesseans on litter prevention , recycling , and beautification in their communities . All proceeds from this event will go to the University of Memphis / KTnB Foundation which will go towards scholarships for students planning to study in the environmental conservation field and to community environmental education grants . Registration and race packet pick-up will begin at 8:00 am the day of the race . Race will begin at 10:00 am , and there will be a post-race celebration .
A Taste of Arlington
Sunday , April 9 , 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm , Arlington High School Rotunda ; sponsored by the Arlington Chamber of Commerce . Sample food from area restaurants ; a silent auction will be held to benefit the Arlington Chapter of the Association for the Preservation of Tennessee Antiquities . Tickets are $ 15 / adults ; $ 5 children 5-12 before April 1 ; $ 20 adults ; $ 5 children after April 1 . More information at arlingtontnchamber . com .

Lakeland ’ s Annual Easter Egg Hunt
The City of Lakeland ’ s annual Easter Egg Hunt hosted by the Parks and Recreation Department will be held Sunday , April 9 , at I . H . Park , 4523 Canada Road , for children up to 10 years old .
Families are invited to join the fun , from 1 to 3 p . m . In addition to the traditional Easter Egg Hunt , there will be games and prizes . Children will hunt for eggs in areas divided into specific age categories . Each participant finding a golden egg will win an Easter Basket filled with goodies .
