So I laughed, but then she called me "hopelessly thick in the head." It’s probably because she’s gotten her chip insertion. Everyone has to get a chip inserted into their brain when they're six. It makes you super smart and gives you superpowers. Like you can write with a laser beam that comes out of your hand. Stuff like that. Really cool. I’m turning six in a week, so I’m super excited. I can’t wait to be as smart as Porpentina!

Thursday

Tomorrow is my sixth birthday! I’m super scared for the chip inserting now. Everyone’s telling me that it doesn’t hurt, but they’re just saying it to make me not scared. Mommy told me that she’ll even let me have cake and cookies for dinner tomorrow, but I’m still scared. What if something happens? I read that there’s a 1% chance of the operation going wrong. What if I am that one percent? You never know!!

Friday

I have just returned from the chip inserting operation and I feel exceptionally intelligent. I believe my knowledge has increased immensely and am eager to discover what new capabilities my brain now holds. I am delighted to return to my classes and discuss the miraculous change I am now feeling. There are beams of light shooting out of my very fingers, and projections in front of my eyes. I do not quite understand everything yet and can simply not wait until I may speak to my dear parents once more to ask them what other possibilities lie in this chip. Robo baked a grand chocolate cake today, however, I threw it away because the sugar caused me to nearly throw up, which would have been terrifying. Instead we dined on vegetables which tasted infinitely delicious.

This morning I woke up feeling ill. And it was peculiar because I was perfectly fine yesterday morning. So I can only wonder what the cause of the pain may have been. Perhaps the after effects of the chip did not fully take over until the day
