I am innocent.

I know I am innocent. Ok. Breathe just breathe. I just need to calm down.

My name is Jeffrey Wilson Hartley and I am 32 years old. They sent me to jail because they think that I am a murderer. I am most definitely not a murderer. I am a helper. I go and help people.

October 11, 2017 was a difficult day for me. I knew that everything was going downhill when I was called into my bosses’ office despite there not being a meeting scheduled for today. He tried to peacefully explain to me that it was not working out for me there and that he had no choice but to fire me. It was difficult for me to not scream at him how useful and helpful I was, but it was no use. Instead I turned around and walked out of the building. Going for a walk always helped me in the past to calm down. After making it all the way home I just kept walking and decided to circle around my block.

I have never been a huge fan of change so it is no surprise that I only moved a few streets down from my childhood house. My mom does not live there anymore, but it is comforting to know my surroundings. While I was on my second lap around,
