Allegiant is the third book in the New York Times bestselling series Divergent, by Veronica Roth. Set in a dystopian future Chicago, Allegiant tells the story from the points of view of Beatrice Prior and Tobias Eaton. After the events in Insurgent, the previous novel in the series, Beatrice and Tobias are given a chance to explore the outside world by the Allegiant. The Allegiant are a group who still believe in the old faction society. What Tris finds outside, however, may be just as bad as what was inside the city gates. Old truths are shattered, and everything she believes in is rendered a falsehood. Read Allegiant to find out what happens to Tris and Tobias.
The Spark's View:
I recommend this book to people with a moderate reading level, because it isn’t that hard to comprehend. However, I do suggest reading Insurgent, the second book in the series for some background knowledge on Allegiant. Overall, on a 5 point scale, I give this book a 3.5, because the story was somewhat slow moving in the middle of the story. Also, there were a lot of twists and turns in the plot that became confusing at times. Despite the slow beginning and parts that were sometimes confusing, I still say the Allegiant was a decent novel.
