Heaven's Tears
Snow cascades from the skies,
As its tears freeze in the frozen air.
The radiant flakes of snow twinkle and glisten,
As they illuminate the night sky.
They are the fireflies of the winter,
Floating around,
Just waiting to be caught,
In the frozen embrace of the wind.
They descend like frozen flower petals,
Dancing in the frigid air,
As Persephone leaves the surface,
To live with Hades.
You illuminate the memories of my past.
The fiery memories that became ashes several years ago,
Rise once again,
In a fierce fire.
I stick out my tongue,
Catching a snowflake.
A frigid, frosty, and frozen feel,
Suddenly spreads throughout my mouth.
Like water,
A clear, pure, and pristine taste,
Dissipates through my taste buds,
But leaves as quickly came.
A sudden wind sweeps the surface of the snow,
Howling as it passes,
Leaving behind a cloud of white powder,
In its wake.
Snow is a memory,
Remembered when it’s there,
Forgotten when it’s not,
Lost in the raging storm of thought.
Snow is awe-inspiring, amazing,
Alluring, and angelic.
It is the night,
Filled with the flakes of stars.
