White on White

This monochromatic style was white-hot in the winter, but now anyone who wears it looks like they’re trapped in a snow globe. The summer months are meant for embracing color to look fresh, fun, and bright. If you insist on wearing white allover, give the plain ensemble some pizzazz by adding colorful accessories to be totally on trend.

Deep hued nails were all the rage throughout autumn and winter, but in the warmer months, go for a lighter look. For spring, stick to pretty pastels, and during the summer, use bold, bright colors. Be sure to keep the finish glossy instead of going for fussy textures. This will keep the focus on the color’s intensity, which is what summer is all about. Nailed it.

Having a Boring Summer?

Don’t mope around all summer even if you only have a stay-cation planned. Having an amazing summer isn’t dependent on whether you’re jetting off to Hawaii or a foreign country. Make the most of what you have. Spend a day at the park, plan a picnic, take a trip to the community pool, or get involved in a summer camp. Still stumped? Take a look at our list of 51 fun things to do over the summer.

Sky-High Heels

Towering pumps and impossibly tall stilettos are undeniably high fashion, but skinny heels provide minimal support. To be able to keep your balance, opt for wedges instead. They can have just as much height as platforms, but their more solid soles nix any teetering that could occur with thinner heels.
