LIX is the latest contender in the 3D printing market and they’ve come out with a new 3D printing pen. Their product is a sleek, lightweight, and portable 3D pen that only needs a plastic filament and a USB port to work. Although a 3D pen already exists on the market, the LIX 3D pen is much smaller, portable, and easier to use. The pen is powered by electricity through a USB port.
All you have to do is wait less than a minute for the pen to heat up and you’ll be drawing in mid-air or sketching out a new pencil-cup.
At the end of the pen there is a hot-end nozzle. The plastic filament goes through the pen and once it reaches the hot-end nozzle, it is melted and cools as you “draw” any shape you imagine. The pen’s aluminum body comes in two colors; black and white matte and different colored plastic filaments are also available for usage.
With this pen, you could create anything your heart desires. The uses are endless. You could use it for fashion, home interior, or it can even be used to customized existing items. The LIX 3D pen can be purchased on Kickstarter for $139.95.
