Rose Wine, Just Summer Wine Or Not
Rose’ wine is no longer a wine to be thought of as a summer wine. It is no longer a wine to be looked down upon. In fact, Rose’ wine has made a huge come back. It has become the prominence of fashion, it is trendy, and the quality is so much better than it used to be. When you think of all the “wine” regions in the entire world, Provence in southern France is believable the pinkest. There in France, almost 90% of the wine production is rose.’ The blush colored wine is now fresher and drier in its style. It is recommended with most cuisines, from Asian to seafood, this wine has paired well at the dining room table. Rose’ aromas of red berries and floral are still established, the composition is better, and the acidity is fresher, less juicy and more like real quality wine.
Rose’ wines are not easy to produce. It is technically challenging to make rose’ as the framework requires both red and white wine. The color is a great asset for rose’ and probably one of the reasons why people are so intrigued with it. Rose’ is made from red grapes and the color comes from the skins. The time of contact between the juice and the skins determines the color of wine it produces. All countries make rose’ but Europe dominates 75% of production and in Europe, France is at the top. Rose’ wines are now the newest fashionable wine trend.
