The Valleys and Mountains Development Foundation Annual Report 2015 - | Page 40
One of the assigned creative disciplines for the EPWP contract was basic
journalism. The Foundation taught three students from the local community, as well
as four students from Nkqubela in Robertson. Each group had to do research on all
the aspects of their town which would interest tourists and compile a book directed
at marketing their town. These publications will be published digitally by the end
of July with full public access.
The Foundation received a substantial donation of thirteen computers from
Ubusha Technologies which enables us to also teach computer skills to the young
adults who are totally unemployable.
This increases the Foundation’s ability to meet the objectives stipulated in our
constitution, as regards to development of the youth and young adults.
