While no one wakes up thinking “ I ’ d like tospend time in ahospital ,” the reality isthat we all do at some point , and when that time comes , it ’ shelpful to know there ’ sanew one being built with the goal of anticipating contemporary needs and preferences — not to mention state-of-the-art technology . Planners of the new Valley Hospital in Paramus , which has been steadily rising within view of the Garden State Parkway and Route 17 since its groundbreaking in November , 2019 , say they ’ ve designed the 900,000-squarefoot facility to promote , asmuch as possible , ahotel-like experience while incorporating the most current approaches tomedical care , often based on user feedback . These details reflect lessons learned during the pandemic and options that weren ’ t available at their smaller Ridgewood campus .
