IN THE DIOCESE

ADA in Action
By Sue Pershon
ADA Manager
The power of Prayer is phenomenal.
As Catholics we turn to prayer for
consolation, healing, forgiveness, and
whatever else may be happening in our
lives and families. Prayer comforts us
in times of joy, sorrow or gratitude.
Prayer comes in many forms – we
can choose to pray independently
or in community, silently or aloud.
Pope Francis has even launched an
App called ‘Click To Pray’ that allows
Catholics from all around the world to
pray together.
The importance of Prayer is equally
cherished here in the Diocese of San
José.
This year the Annual Diocesan Ap-
peal (ADA) materials included a section
where parishioners could write down
their prayer requests and send them in
to the ADA Office.
Parishioners from all across our
community sent in their prayer re-
quests for healing, understanding,
acceptance, employment, happiness,
safety, tolerance, love and more. These
requests were placed in a basket in the
Chapel at the Chancery Office where
staff and priests have remembered
them in their prayers at Daily Mass
and will continue to do so for the rest
of the year.
It is not too late to send in your
prayer requests. We welcome you to
write down how we can pray for you
and send it to:
Diocese of San José, ADA Office,
1150 North First Street, Ste 100,
San José, CA, 95112
We will add them to our daily
prayers.
Please join us as we continue to
pray for our brothers and sisters in the
Diocese of San José.
For where two or three are gathered to-
gether in my name, there am I in the midst
of them.
