Faith Formation Conference to be Nov. 22-23
at Santa Clara Convention Center
from northern California; workshops
will be offered in English, Spanish and
Vietnamese; with over 70 exhibits. This
year, on Sat., Nov. 23, there will be a
special track for Environment and Art.
Nationally known workshop speakers include Carole Eipers, Fr. Steven
Bell, Fr. Domingo Rodríguez Zambrana, Fr. Thinh Duc Pham, Sherry
Weddell, Alice Camille, Tony Magliano
(The Valley Catholic columnist), Joe Paprocki, Tony Alonso, Steven Ellair and
Jerry Galipeau.
Catholic school teachers from the
Diocese of San Jose will join the conference on Fri., Nov. 22 as an in-service
day. Carole Eipers, Executive Director
of Catechetics for William H. Sadlier,
will give the keynote, “Alive in the
Spirit and Ready to March.”

Theme is Alive in the Spirit /Vivos
en el Espíritu. It is a multi-cultural and
multi-lingual event aimed at adults to
help enrich their faith and strengthen
their knowledge, skills and commitment to be disciples in their Church
and in the world, Scherbart explained.

‘American Catholics’ topic
of adult education series
“American Catholics” is the theme of
an adult education series being offered
at St. Joseph of Cupertino Parish Community Center, presented by Marianist
Brother Bill Bolts whose doctorate and
several books have dealt with the topic.
He will deal with Sisters in the Civil
War, immigrant Catholics, the Baltimore
Catechism, Vatican II, the G.I. Bill of
Rights, and more, monthly on Tuesday
evenings through May 20, 7-8:30 pm.
