The USCCB Pastoral Message on
Catholic Education, “To Teach As Jesus
Did” begins with the scripture passage
from John 14:5-7:
“Lord,” said Thomas, “we do not
know where you are going. How can
we know the way?”
Jesus told him: “I am the way, and
the truth, and the life; no one comes to
the Father but through me. If you really
knew me, you would know my Father
also. From this point on you know him;
you have seen him.”
The faithful of the Diocese of San Jose
entrust the formation of their children
in the excellent Catholic schools in our
diocese to the many dedicated men and
women who serve in ministry as educators. As members of the Western Catholic Educational Association (WCEA),
schools in our diocese are bound by
WCEA’s mission “to promote quality
