Since December of 2017, Morgan Hill Council # 8265 with the As- sistance of Gilroy Council #2469 has spearheaded a Fund Raising Campaign conducted as part of the Supreme Council’s Ultra Sound Ini- tiative that provides matching funds. As of this date Morgan Hill has helped raise nearly $90,000 to pro- vide Informed Choices, a Diocesan certified, Gospel based Christian Pregnancy and Sexual Health Medi- cal Clinic located in Gilroy California. Christine Vatuone, director of In- formed Choices, reached out to the Chairman of the Northern California State Ultra Sound Initiative Com- mittee, Oscar Martinez, who then arranged a meeting with the Morgan Hill Council Financial Secretary, James Realini. Bishop Patrick J. McGrath reviewed the application for matching funds submitted by Morgan Hill and rec- ommended Informed Choices for the Supreme Ultra Sound Initiative. Including over 20 Christian Churches in South Santa Clara County in the Outreach for fund raising, the cam- paign began in February and a very generous donor responded at the fi rst event by donating the funds ($30,000) to replace the failing Ultra Sound machine. When Realini and Vatuone met to rejoice over this magnanimous event, they decided to continue the campaign and build a Mobile Medical Clinic complete with an Ultra Sound Machine and additional equipment to provide full Pregnancy and Sexual Health Care to a large region south of Gilroy. Using a collection campaign af- ter Church Services, employing plastic Baby Bottles you could put coins, cash, or checks into and then return to your church.
