St . Clare School implements safety program
At St . Christopher School , eighth grade students participate in an annual re-enactment of the Stations of the Cross for students and the school community on Holy Thursday , and for the parish community on Good Friday .
Students , under direction of homeroom teachers Carol Burke , Kathy Carter and Anne Federwisch , and the children ’ s liturgist Debbie Carey , pre- pare during the weeks preceding Holy Thursday .
After students audition for speaking and singing roles , each is assigned a part and practices begin . Teachers consider students ’ input and talents so that the play evolves into a personal and self-reflective experience for participants , as well as a prayer experience for those in attendance .
