2 IN THE DIOCESE April 10, 2018 | The Valley Catholic Rodrigues Named Director of Faith Formation Father John E. Hurley, CSP, Vicar for Evangelization for the Diocese of San Jose, has announced that Robert J. Rodrigues will become the new Director for Faith Formation on May 21. Currently, Rodrigues is the Director of Catechetical Ministry at Saint Christopher Parish in San Jose. In addition, he is a former adjunct faculty member at Mount Angel Seminary in Benedict, Oregon, where he taught courses in Ministry in a Multi-Cultural Church and the Catechetical Ministry of the Church. Also, he served as the Director of Religious Education for the Archdiocese of Portland, Oregon. Rodrigues has a B.A. in Religious Studies from San Jose State University and an M.A. in Pastoral Theology from Seattle University, with an emphasis on Religious Education. Freedom Sunday and Wednesday Prayer Gathering The Catholic Network to End Human Traffi cking (CNEHT), a program of Catholic Charities of Santa Clara County, and the International Justice Mission (IJM) will host two events in May to educate the public on the evils of human traffi cking and pray to end it. These events are endorsed by Diocese of San Jose Bishop Patrick J. McGrath.
