Bellarmine College Preparatory
Holds Another Successful Golden Bell Auction
Bellarmine College Preparatory held
its 42 nd Golden Bell Auction on March 10.
More than 650 guests attended this year’s
French-themed event, “La Vie Est Bell.”
The on-campus gala began with
Mass held in the Leontyne Chapel,
celebrated by Father Mario Prietto, S.J.,
superior of the Bellarmine Jesuit com-
munity. The reception, featuring hors
d’oeuvres provided by A Catered Affair,
cocktails, and silent auction items, was
followed by the program and fine din-
ing entrees prepared by the Bellarmine
culinary staff, led by executive chef
Jeremy Soulia.
Mark Alman, a professional auction-
eer and parent of a Bellarmine alumnus,
led the live auction, featuring many
unique items, including a concert and
“meet and greet” with country music
superstar Keith Urban, 2018 Jeep Wran-
gler Sahara from the Normandin dealer-
ship, a great white shark dive experience
near Guadalupe Island, Mexico, and a
variety of dining and entertainment
experiences.
A highlight of the evening was the
address delivered by the three Nazari

Community in the
Classroom at
Saint Patrick School
Saint Patrick School kindergarten-
ers were thrilled with the special guest
who kicked off the“Community in
the Classroom” initiative. Joe Naylor,
Chief Development Officer of the
Diocese of San Jose, came prepared
to enchant and engage the children
with three wonderful books. It was
a fully interactive session with cos-
tume changes, props and background
music. Smiles and laughter lit up the
room. We look forward to future
guests and the positive impact they
will have on students.
