n 1995 , Nesha was in a terrible car accident in Brooklyn , New York . While returning home from an all-night rehearsal , a car came out of nowhere and t-boned them . She sustained injuries and was hospitalized for several days ; it took months to recover . Nesha was thankful to be alive to tell the story . During this time , she took a six year break from the spotlight . She took that time to regroup and discover who “ Nesha Da Voice ” truly was . She began writing , doing a lot of soul searching , digging deep within to give her fans something they could relate to . Nesha draws her inspiration from her experiences as well as those of her family and friends . She feels fans can relate to those true , real , heartfelt stories .

When asked about the recent violence in Charlotte , which is near her hometown of Bennettsville , South Carolina and how she feels she can make a difference , Nesha replied “ As someone that was raised in the South , I feel that this is a nonending battle of racism that seems to never end . I am deeply saddened that we , as black people , are still fighting this fight . I am so devastated about the violence in Charlotte and pray that we will all be able to resolve the situations at hand . I definitely feel that I , as an artist can bring light to any tragedy with my music . I have always tried my best to bring out my emotion in each song that I write . Songs are there to inspire and uplift and that is one thing I always aim to do when I am writing .”
The one artist she would have loved to have collaborated with is the late great “ Prince ”. When asked about her personal life and dating , she replied , “ Dating is on the back burner as of right now . I am taking the time to focus on my career . I am single at the moment !” Nesha has some amazing goals and sees herself moving into other avenues in the industry such as writing for other artists , landing a publishing deal , and venturing into entrepreneurship .

HER FAMILY WAS VERY SUPPORTIVE WITH PARENTS WHO WERE BOTH MUSICALLY INCLINED ; HER FATHER A LOCAL MUSICIAN AND HER MOM SINGING IN CHURCH CHOIRS . SHE BEGAN TO PERFORM IN LOCAL TALENT COMPETITIONS WHILE OPENING SHOWS FOR PROMINENT ORGANIZATIONS .
This amazing star still likes to relax by going shopping , the movies , and traveling . When asked what her favorite food was , she smiled and stated “ liver and onions .”
We are excited to see what this rising star will do next . She ’ s burning up the sky like a shooting rocket headed for the stars !
