Update on Matthew Adams
Matthew experienced a terrible fall whilst progressing with his career. Suffering lifechanging injuries, he will be unavailable with new work for a little while.
Meanwhile a range of his stunning photography is available with us whilst Matthew continues to recover.
Urban exploring (Urbex or UE) is exploring anything generally considered “off limits” to the general public.
Abandoned structures are the most common example of urban exploration but there are also redundant asylums, hospitals, rooftops, train lines, drains, industrial sites and anything decayed or forgotten! Many urban explorers find the decay of buildings and their abandoned contents artistically fascinating and aim to photograph them as historical records of a bygone age before they are demolished and lost forever. These buildings can be found all over the county, they are carefully guarded which makes exploration doubly difficult.
“Take nothing but pictures, leave nothing but footprints”
Matthew Adams works in Digital format media, Using HDR photography in all of his work. He attended Lowestoft College to study Art and Design where his journey into the world of photography began. He soon developed a skilled approach to his subjects, deriving ideas, style, and taste from a broad and diverse range of sources.
However by far his most successful images are those resulting from his exploration of abandoned ruins or not usually seen components of the man-made environment. The photographs are extremely atmospheric and demonstrate the form and structure of an oil painting. The artistic composition demonstrates the inimitable skills of this gifted young photographer.
We all wish Matthew a speedy recovery and look forward to more wonderful work when he is able to return to exploring, in the mean time check out his works and recovery at www.facebook.com/Unexp0sedExpl0ration.
