Introduction
With nearly 2,500 staff, more than 20,000 students and two
campuses in Hull and Scarborough, the University of Hull is one
of the region’s major employers. Whether you have joined the
University as an academic colleague or as a member of staff
in one of our wide-ranging professional service areas, your
contribution to the continued development and success of the
University will be greatly valued.
This brochure has been designed to help you settle into your
new job by telling you about the University, its aims, values
and background, and the services that it provides. The first
section gives practical information that is immediately relevant
to starting work here. The remainder offers general information
that you may find useful during your first few weeks or months
with us.
