2010 – 2015 Sustainability Goals In 2010, UGACR identified 11 objectives to measure progress toward overall sustainability goals. 02 Carbon Neutrality Complete a thorough carbon footprint analysis for the UGA Costa Rica campus by 2011. Based on this analysis, develop a strategic plan to achieve carbon neutrality by 2015. Grow the carbon offset program to reach a total of 60,000 trees planted in the Pájaro Campana Biological Corridor by 2015. 01 Resource Efficiency Complete alternative energy generation potential and cost-benefit analysis, with recommendations for prioritized implementation by 2015. Switch all high-use outdoor bulbs to LED bulbs by 2015 to reduce energy consumption. Install low-flow shower heads and aerators to all campus sinks and showers by 2011. 03 Sustainable Agriculture 8 University of Georgia Costa Rica By 2015, increase onsite food production to 33 percent and increase on-site and locally-purchased to 50 percent between January – July and 67 percent between August – December.
