Living in a girl’s world is hard to imagine,
When men sit and tell you we haven’t got what it takes.
But, like an ignorant child, they only talk and don’t listen,
So let me be the one to open your eyes awake.
“SHH”, be quiet! No one wants to hear a girl’s opinion,
But hey, open up! Don’t sit quiet and expect others to still pay attention.
Be a queen to your king, and show him some affection,
But make sure you keep your eyes below the other princes’ vision,
You don’t want to end up like the “Curley’s wife” of society,
And ruin your perfect reputation
Make sure to cover up, or boys won’t know where to look,
But don’t become a nun and cover it all,
A cloth below your eyes and over your head, shielding your most valuable assets,
Won’t do you any good.
So try to meet in the middle, and always keep in mind,
If I get hurt by a man’s hands,
It’s not his fault, it's mine
Without a word, handle all your responsibilities,
Go cook, and clean, and carry the mother’s role,
And don’t come cryin’ when it all becomes too much,
But still, show your emotions, no one likes a bright-eyed, bushy-tailed girl,
With a heart filled with holes.
