National President’s
Message
It has been another fruitful fiscal year for UAP. From the moment I accepted the
mandate entrusted to me by the general membership with around 63% voting and
the highest voting percentage of 95%, it is in my anticipation that UAP is looking
ahead to this leadership as I convey the ideals of Unity, Ability, and Continuity of
Service.
The current administration aims to create a sense of shared purpose and values
within the Organization by means of describing our direction in a precise and sim-
ple language and that is ‘LET ARCHITECTURE BE KNOWN TO THE PUBLIC’. On
our journey to turn this message into a reality, the pioneering campaign slogan:
“FOR YOUR PLANS and DESIGNS, GET AN ARCHITECT” became apparent. This
advocacy campaign will bring to life the role of architects as thought and action
leaders in improving our cities, towns, and neighbourhoods. Because I believe, that
architects are diverse group with diverse strengths and skills; collectively, we are
a strong force for positive change. Working together, and through our channels of
relationships with public officials and community leaders, we are well positioned to
advocate for the many significant issues that affect us and the communities in which
we live and work.
As we hold our 45th UAP National Convention, it is my duty to provide the general
membership a dedicated and transparent overview of all the initiatives, efforts, chal-
lenges and opportunities this leadership accomplished for the Fiscal Year 2018-2019.
To all of those who have been working with me to fulfil a common goal – our
Members from the National Board of Directors, Executive Directors, College of
Fellows Officers and Jury Members, Committee Heads and Members of Standing
and Special Committees, Chapter Board Officers and the many tireless volunteers
of UAP, friends and partners in the industry, your precious time, effort, and resources
accorded to UAP will leave a legacy for what we have contributed to the UAP
community and become immortal.

You are behind the every success described in this report. THANK YOU for your
