Australian OW Dinners: Patrick Medley (G, 70-74) used the
excuse of a visit by the Director of Development to arrange
two excellent dinners Down Under. The first was in Sydney
on the 22 nd March, 2018 at the Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron,
Kirribilli. The following attended: Philip Benedictus (B, 84-
88), David Brown (F, 60-65), Tim Burroughs (H, 67-72), John
Bygrave (D, 81-85), Ed and Jessica Farren-Price (C, 87-92),
Michael and Sue Gammans (B, 62-68), Huw and Mel Jones (A,
77-82), John King (Coll, 53-58), Robert Luttrell (K, 74-79),
David (C, 74-79) and Annabel Mason, Patrick (G, 70-74) and
Denise Medley, Joel Phillips (Coll, 97-02), Mark Sutherland-
Harris (C, 56-61), John Swainston (G, 63-67), Martin (C,
54-59) and Sue Tattersall, Peter ( C, 61-66) and Anne Young,
Lorna and Gary Stoddart.
The second was in Melbourne on the 23 rd March, 2018 at
the Royal South Yarra Lawn Tennis Club, Victoria. Present
were: David and Annabel Mason (C, 74-79), Patrick and
Denise Medley (G, 70-74), Joel Phillips (Coll, 97-02), Mark
Sutherland-Harris (C, 56-61), John Swainston (G, 63-67),
Martin and Sue Tattersall (C, 54-59), Peter and Anne Young
(C, 61-66), Lorna and Gary Stoddart.
Hong Kong Guild Dinner: OW Hong Kong Guild hosted
a special lunch event on 12 th April 2018 at the China Club
in the presence of the Headmaster and Chairman of the
Wykeham Campaign, Nick Ferguson, who discussed the latest
developments on the Kingsgate Park project, as well as giving a
general updates on the school.
Bishop Ken Service, Thursday 7 th June 2018
This year, we will be celebrating the Lesser Festival on
its eve: Thursday 7 th June at 5.30pm. On this occasion,
we will have the added bonus of the joint forces of both
the Cathedral Choristers and our own Quiristers singing
in Chapel. This only ever happens every couple of years,
and is a wonderful sound as the boys know each other and
their voices blend very well. The Headmaster and Dean
of Chapel are pleased to invite Old Wykehamist clergy
of all denominations to join us for the service and some
refreshment afterwards. If you would like to vest and sit in
