T H E T R U S T Y S E RVA N T
The 2014 revival of this practical but dignified building, fifty
years after its inauguration, gives the School a concert hall
worthy of its musical standards and space for other practical
needs. The Entertainment presented at the official opening (see
below for a shortened form of the programme) figured a number
of the building’s various day-to-day uses.
I
Particular thanks and congratulations are owed to Michael St
John Parker, Chairman of the Works Committee of the Governing
Body during the period of this work, whose guidance was invaluable;
the architects Barnsley, Hewett and Mallinson; the contractors,
Kingerlee of Kidlington Oxon, and John Wells, our Works Bursar,
whose competence and experience ensured a happy outcome.
