Imam Mehdi is the title given by Muslims to the Awaited One , who according to scriptures shall emerge in the last days to end tyranny and establish justice . As per belief , he will work alongside Jesus Christ to defeat the Antichrist and usher in an unprecedented utopian era . He will not be a warrior .
Shi ’ ites , Wahhabis and pseudo-claimants of the office of Mehdi-hood have been successful in destroying the image of Imam Mehdi . Shi ’ ite militant organisations such as ‘ The Mahdi Army ’ and ‘ Mehdi Force ’, funded by Iran , attribute themselves to Imam Mehdi and have carried out terrorist attacks in the name of Imam Mehdi .
Wahhabis , supported by Saudi Arabia , openly preach hatred for the West and await an end times caliph who will help them achieve world domination . In recent history , Muhammad Ahmad (‘ The Mahdi Sudani ’) spearheaded a brutal genocide in Sudan whilst claiming to be Imam Mehdi ; he too was influenced by Wahhabism .
