The principle of the Hualapai
13
This noble task told by the legend is not the only thing that shows the Hualapai Indians' love towards the world. The Hualapai Seal depicts a man and a woman with their hair connected. This represents that all men and women are created equal, and the connection between them means that they can only be happy together. Furthermore, on the Seal, we can see the symbols of the Canyon and the Reservation, which shows the Hualapai's respect toward their land. At the background, the image of the rising Sun shows that without it, there would be no life, and also, the Sun serves as a metaphor for hard work and dedication as through them, everything is possible. There are also animal tracks drawn on the Seal, to signify the Hualapai people's respect towards the wildlife that was there before them. Finally, the whole Seal is surrounded by green pines, the originators of the name of the Hualapai.
