If there’ s one piece of advice I wish every law firm owner could hear— and really take to heart— it’ s this: One size doesn’ t fit all.

I’ ve seen it time and time again in my years helping grow law firms— from my own experience building a firm from the ground up, to consulting with firms across the country. There’ s a dangerous trap many law firm owners fall into, especially those who are hungry to grow: they hear a speaker at a conference, read a book, or follow a successful law firm owner on social media and think,“ If it worked for them, it’ ll work for me.”

But here’ s the truth: concepts are universal, but implementation has to be personal.
