CASHING IN ON TERRORISM

Exploring the explosive truth behind Mike Papantonio ’ s new legal thriller Suspicious Minds .
In Mike Papantonio ’ s latest legal thriller , art imitates life in an eruptive way that forces readers to consider America ’ s prevalent double standard for justice . As Papantonio said in a recent interview with MTMP Magazine , “ If you ’ ve got a hoodie on , you go to prison . If you ’ re dressed up in a suit , you don ’ t go to prison .”
In Suspicious Activity the “ suits ” are banking institutions , which Thomas Jefferson described as “ more dangerous than standing armies ,” and which consistently emerge unscathed even after admitting their involvement in funding terrorism .
Papantonio said the narrative for his book could be torn from headlines of recent history , for example those that briefly exposed HSBC ’ s questionable involvement in criminal ventures . In the early 2010s , HSBC UK pled guilty to laundering money , both for terrorists and drug cartels , and even signed a multi-page document admitting to their actions .
“ They admitted knowing they were dealing with terrorists and drug cartel . They admitted knowing Americans were affected , that people were being killed and injured . They admitted they made a load of money — hundreds of billions of dollars — through it all ,” Papantonio said .
