What was the first job you had ? IGA grocery store . Sacking groceries at 14 years old . I worked there 8 ½ years , through high school and college . I started as a bag boy and worked my way up to management .
What ’ s your proudest moment as a trial lawyer ? When I received my largest multi-million dollar settlement . It truly made a life-changing opportunity for my client and their family . It was a day that justice was truly served and I knew I had made a difference .
I attribute my success to : My commitment of the advancement for the cause of Jesus Christ , my Lord and Savior . I pray every morning seeking God ’ s will for my life and read the Bible before I leave my home . I have taught Sunday School at Clarksville ’ s First Baptist Church for 30 years .
What is your most notable verdict or settlement ? I was representing a top official from the Pentagon , on one occasion , who had flown in for the trial and he asked me in the afternoon on how I thought things were going . I said , “ we have command of the field , sir ”. My client responded “ go get ’ em Kev ”. At the conclusion of that intensely fought trial , we won .
What is your guilty pleasure ? I love dancing . When I was in high school , I won the dance contest each year and graduated undefeated . Later in life , I won Dancing with the Stars in our hometown and ultimately won Allstars Championship Dancing with the Stars in our hometown . I have a lot of fun with dance offs and dancing on my Tik Tok series . I am a competitor by nature and I love to win when the competition is the stiffest .
What do you like to do in your time off ? I spend considerable time in speaking engagements , both in schools , civil organizations and churches . I enjoy working in the ministry and being an advocate for Jesus Christ . Make fun and informative Tik Toks and to share with my 1.9 million Tik Tok followers .
What ’ s your favorite hobby ? Riding and raising horses . I have a horse farm that has been in my family for 124 years . I currently own 33 horses which are Tennessee Walking horses and miniature horses . My entire family enjoys showing horses and trail riding .
What keeps you awake at night ? I own several businesses and a three location law firm . Trying to juggle the many projects that I have going on at any one time . The planning , the brainstorming , gathering the resources and motivating my team . How I can best accomplish keeping my strong and committed relationships .
What advice would you give a young attorney ? I would teach them to get involved in a church , immediately . Then when they felt ready , I would have them teach a small group or connect class . I would do this because they are preparing , presenting , teaching and closing a group every week . I submit that this technique has been the cornerstone of my career and made a huge difference in my many jury trial wins and live television broadcast . I have been broadcasting live regarding legal issues for the past 14 years . This also made me feel very comfortable talking before a group of people . I sought out brilliant , legal minds and was blessed having access to great mentors .
