I felt a lot of the time I was wandering around
New York like a drugged out fly with my
eyes popping out of my skull. I wanted to
soak all of it in: the life, the culture, and my
surroundings. There is literally something
waiting on every street corner.
In the two weeks I was there, I hit up a lot of
art galleries, and it’s safe to say my favourites
were The Whitney, MOMA, The New Museum
in Bowery, and the Guggenheim. Of course,
the American Museum of Natural History was
also astonishing; it made me feel like a curious
child again, who has everything to learn.
Out of all the over-hyped landmarks in New
York City, one I have to completely justify is
the view from the Empire State Building. I
went there with my friend Austin, whom I’d
met on DeviantArt around 10 years ago. We
decided to go at around 11pm one night.
The view was simply dazzling.
